About Me
Valeska is a Manbo, spychosocial and political scientist, lecturer, and a true Ayiti at heart. She has integrated the knowledge gained through her research and work experiences in Asia, Africa and, of course, her homeland, Ayiti. A speaker of six languages, she has a strong desire to provide opportunities for Ayitian youth to flourish in an inclusive environment and a society prioritizing the harmony and well-being of all its members.
She has around 15 years of experience in the private sector, the field of sustainable development and international diplomacy. Among her various positions, Valeska is the author of the book Resistance: Rationality of Unitary Executives in the Face of Biopower, which is a psychosocial analysis of political violence against heads of state.
She is the founder and the CEO of ASAO (Ayiti Stellar Artist Offerings), member of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of Haiti (CCAH), consultant advisor to the Board of Directors of the Odette Roy Fombrun Foundation (FORF), member of the board of directors in charge of public relations at the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Haiti (CMAH), and co-founder and member of the board of directors of Citizen Demarches for the Restoration of the Nation-State.
Valeska is currently enrolled in a Executive Diploma program in Social Innovation at the UN Mandated University for Peace (UPeace) under a full scholarship provided by UPeace and the Central Bank of Haiti ( BRH). Before that, she received a full scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education and completed her Masters in International Studies, specializing in peace and conflict studies, relations and international cooperation at the University of Tokyo. With a full scholarship from the Ashinaga Foundation, she completed her bachelor's degree in International Liberal Studies, specializing in global governance and sustainable development, at Waseda University in Tokyo. She also received a certificate on Japan studies from the Hiroshima University.
She envisons an Ayiti prosperous, peaceful, egalitarian, strong, independent and sovereign.
