For the past few months I’ve been working on finishing the development of the 11th Department Platform, 11thdepartment.org, a community of 8 Diaspora Regions and Haiti’s 10 Departments.

While there’s a small amount of work left to complete the platform, this is a good point to share with you the work I’ve been doing with tremendous input and feedback from a few individuals. I would like to especially thank Ambassador Guillaume, Dr. Nicolas Guerda, Serge Renaud and his NAAHP Team Members, Suze Francois, Molina Jean-Louis, and Marie Texas, Chenet Nerette and his business partner, Dwardy Franck, Djenane St Fleur, and Eddy Lahens, who has been a staunch supporter since the platform’s first launch as a “.com” back in 2010. The original 11th Department is now Haiti Place, which is undergoing a major upgrade.

The individuals named above contributed to what I believe will help us, the Diaspora and Haitians everywhere, achieve greater heights together for Haiti and our Diaspora Communities.

To understand how we will do this, I invite you to a Zoom Meeting on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 8pm EST. The meeting will be recorded in the event you cannot attend so you have an opportunity to view the video before making a decision on my ask below. Please feel free to share this invite with other leaders not in this email.

I am writing to you now to invite you all to be on the Advisory Group of the 11th Department. There are a number of people missing from this list and I ask you to submit their names so they can be added. The Advisory Group is made up of Business and Nonprofit Leaders, Government Representatives, and Experts in diverse fields and backgrounds from all corners of the globe.

After the meeting (or before if you wish), should you accept this invitation, you only have to send me a short acceptance email, then register on 11thdepartment.org. Your “profile” will be added to the Advisory Group page on the website. You’ll receive a follow-up email after the meeting so we can begin our work.
